Julia qualified with a Bachelor of Science in Medical imaging in 1994 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Sonography in 2002. I have scanned many thousands of pregnancies for Medically requested obstetric scans over my career in Public and Private clinics in Australia and the UK.

Our business BabyBond3D Ultrasound began in 2017 by Julia Mayes a fully Qualified Sonographer providing Non-diagnostic, Non-Medical ultrasounds. Julia qualified in 2002 with a Diploma of Medial Ultrasound and has scanned in General Ultrasound with a special interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. In that time thousands of babies have been scanned and thousands more families have experienced the wonder of new life.

It is a first for the Kimberley Region to have a dedicated and mobile 3D Ultrasound business. Babybond3D has purchased the new VinnoV5 – Vision in Innovation- portable Ultrasound machine with 2D,3D and 4D scanning capability. Its portability permits BabyBond3D to travel to Kununurra and other regional towns from their base in Broome .

When you have your Medical Ultrasound scan, most of the time is spent measuring baby and checking if it is ‘normal’ - a very important diagnostic scan. Sometimes this scan can be stressful as it is a medical scan that requires focussed attention on baby’s development. Often the images are not that clear to the untrained eye. 

BabyBond3D Ultrasound knows that the joy of life is more than just knowing your baby is healthy, it is also about bonding with your new baby. It’s about the shape of your baby’s nose, its cute cheeks, it’s lips and little smile, seeing baby moving around and it’s about making it ‘real’.
